Location: Buckfastleigh

Salary: £14.00 per hour

Shifts: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm

About the RoleWe are recruiting for a Brake Press Operator / Machinist to join a well-established British manufacturer based in Buckfastleigh. This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected company renowned for quality craftsmanship and the manufacture of premium wood-burning stoves and metal products.

Working within a busy production environment, you will be responsible for operating brake press machinery, producing high-quality components to specification, and supporting efficient workshop operations.

Key Responsibilities

Set up and operate brake press machinery to manufacture components to specification

Read and interpret engineering drawings and production instructions

Carry out quality checks on finished products

Ensure machinery is operated safely and efficiently at all times

Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment

About You

Essential:

Previous brake press operating or machining experience

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Ability to work effectively within a manufacturing environmentDesirable:

Experience working with sheet metal fabrication

CNC brake press experience

Previous engineering or manufacturing backgroundWhat's in it for You?
