Location: Bench Joiner

Are you a skilled Bench Joiner looking for a fantastic opportunity in a vibrant manufacturing environment? We are seeking a talented individual to join our client in Tunstall on a temporary to permanent basis. If you have a passion for carpentry and joinery and enjoy bringing projects to life, we want to hear from you!

Competitive hourly rate ranging from 13.00 to 15.00 dependant on experience Full–time hours are Monday–Thursday 6:00am–5:00pm and Friday 6:00am–3:00pm

As a Bench Joiner, you'll be at the heart of the production team, crafting high–quality wooden products. Key responsibilities include:

Cutting, shaping, and assembling wood and other materials to create products.Ensuring that all products meet the highest standards of quality and finish.Working closely with other team members to meet deadlines and achieve production goals.Identifying issues and provide solutions to improve processes.Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks regularly and stand for extended periods during work shiftsFinish, machine and assemble wooden components using hand tools, power tools and specialised joinery techniquesRead and interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications to produce accurate workOperate woodworking machinery such as saws, drills, sanders, and routers with care and precisionPerform finishing tasks including sanding, polishing, and applying protective coatings to ensure a professional finishMaintain a clean and organised workshop environment in compliance with health and safety regulations

What You'll Bring:

To thrive in this role, you should possess:

Proven experience in joinery, carpentry or a similar role within a manufacturing industryA keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality workmanshipThe ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specificationsAbility to use hand and power tools Strong communication skills and a team–oriented attitudeA proactive approach to problem–solvingPractical understanding of door/window/ frame and/or timber fitting is advantageous
