BENCH JOINER / CARPENTER – EXHIBITIONS / DISPLAYS ESSEX

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 4:30pm

Salary Up To 55K (Depending on Experience) + Paid Overtime

Our client is a well–established exhibition and display company specialising in the design and build of high–quality bespoke exhibition stands, retail displays, and experiential environments. Due to continued growth, our client is looking for an experienced Bench Joiner to join the production team. This is a hands–on workshop–based role, working as part of a skilled team to manufacture bespoke exhibition stands and display units to a high standard. The ideal candidate will have strong bench joinery skills and experience working with a variety of materials.

Key Responsibilities:

Manufacturing bespoke exhibition stands, display units, and joinery items from technical drawingsWorking with a variety of materials including MDF, plywood, laminates and solid timberReading and interpreting CAD drawings and production briefsAssembling, finishing, and preparing items for dispatch and installationUsing a range of woodworking machinery and hand tools safely and efficientlyEnsuring all work is completed to a high standard and within deadlinesCollaborating with designers, project managers, and installation teamsMaintaining a clean, organised and safe working environmentAssisting with packing and preparing jobs for transport where requiredRequirements:

Proven experience as a Bench Joiner (ideally within exhibitions, displays or bespoke joinery)Ability to read and work from technical drawingsStrong attention to detail and quality of finishExperience using workshop machinery and hand toolsGood time management and ability to work to tight deadlinesTeam player with a positive and proactive attitudeExperience with CNC machinery (not essential)
