Description

Sayjo Recruitment Ltd are acting on behalf of a client in Morley to recruit Assembly staff, to work in their manufacturing department, helping to assemble wooden furniture.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented, reliable assembly staff to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidates will have experience using hand tools and power tools.

You will be assembling furniture, items like drawers, tables etc…. This role involves working both independently and within a team on an assembly line to ensure high-quality production.

Key Responsibilities:

* Assembly Tasks:

* Assemble furniture according to engineering drawings and specifications.

* Utilise hand tools, power tools, and other assembly equipment to construct cabinets and furniture pieces.

* Follow detailed instructions to ensure all components are accurately assembled and aligned.

* Quality Control:

* Inspect components and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.

* Identify and report any defects or issues during the assembly process.

* Maintain a clean and organised work area to prevent contamination and damage to parts.

* Team Collaboration:

* Work effectively as part of a team to meet production targets and deadlines.

* Communicate with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and address any challenges.

* Documentation:

* Accurately record assembly work and maintain production logs.

* Report any discrepancies or deviations from the engineering drawings to the team leader.

* Safety:

* Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.

* Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and ensure all equipment is in safe working condition.

Qualifications:

Experience:

Good work history, reliable with excellent timekeeping and attendance

Previous assembly experience or a similar role is preferred.

Familiarity with reading and interpreting drawings.

Skills:

Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment.

Strong attention to detail and precision in assembly tasks.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and move heavy furniture components.

Capable of standing for extended periods and performing repetitive tasks.

Work Environment:

Fast-paced manufacturing environment. xjnqpsq

Exposure to noise, dust, and other typical conditions of a furniture assembly line.

Hours of Work:

Monday to Friday 6am – 2.30pm (40 hours paid per week)

Overtime as and when required

Salary

£12.85ph (£26,728 per annum basic)

Overtime after 40 hours

Temp to perm, this is a growing, busy company, good workers will be offered a permanent job.
