Assembler - NPI (New Product Introduction)
Location - Littlehampton
Salary - £13.30 per hour (rising to £13.50 per hour as from 1st April)
Temp rolling contract
Our client, a leader in the manufacturing industry, is searching for a dedicated Assembler to support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities within their manufacturing environment. In this role, you will assemble and rework electronic components, sub‑assemblies, and units using drawings, work instructions, and verbal guidance. You will work with a variety of tools and equipment, handle semi‑routine tasks, and help ensure all products meet quality and performance standards.
Key Responsibilities
Assemble, modify, and rework electronic components and assemblies using operational instructions and basic documentation.
Identify nonconformities and contribute to corrective actions.
Follow all safety, quality, and ISO procedures.
Perform basic equipment maintenance, calibration, and upkeep of workspace/fixtures.
Support process improvements and efficiency initiatives.
Assist in training other team members as needed.
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of electro‑mechanical or electronic assembly experience.
Ability to work with limited supervision and follow detailed instructions.
Basic understanding of Lean/5S principles.
Basic computer skills (e.g., Word, email); familiarity with ERP systems a plus. xjnqpsq
Ability to work across multiple product types and adapt to changing priorities.Working Conditions
