Mandolin banjo
Dagenham, London
£70
Description
This is antique, and most likely pre-war. The condition is good. From the headstock it was possibly made in Birmingham by George Houghton. Which was an actual company and not a brand name. Skin is very good, tuners turn fine. As a banjolin it is louder than a normal mandolin. Plays fine, strings are OK. Nice bridge. And it's quite heavy and solid. Pot width 11 ins across, length is just over 23 ins. It's over 2 inches deep. Sold with a padded soft case. Not been played, so it has to go.
