CNC Operator - Immediate Start - Newington, Edinburgh

Description

We are recruiting a CNC Operator to join a precision engineering workshop based in Edinburgh. Located in the Newington industrial estate, you will load materials and run pre-programmed machining centers. Key Duties:

- Load raw metal/plastic stocks into CNC milling centers or lathes.

- Run pre-programmed CNC schedules, monitoring feed rates and coolant levels.

- Measure finished components using micrometers, callipers, and height gauges.

- Change worn tooling inserts, offset machine axes, and clear swarf bins.

Candidate Requirements:

- Proven experience operating CNC mills or lathes in a factory environment.

- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and tolerance limits.

- Basic numerical skills for calculating tooling offsets and dimensions.

- Experience with Fanuc, Haas, or Mazak machine controls is a plus.
