Introduced in 1976 the Lotus Esprit quickly became an icon of British automotive design. With its sharp, wedge shaped body penned by Giorgetto Giugiaro, the Esprit stood out for its futuristic aesthetics and agile performance. Over its production run, which ended in 2004, approximately 10,675 units were produced. The Esprit evolved through various incarnations culminating in the introduction of this V8 models in the mid 1990’s. Featuring a 3.5l twin turbocharged V8 engine the car offered a 350bhp power train delivering exhilarating performance and marking a significant milestone in the Esprit’s history.

The Esprit V8 model, as offered here, are particularly rare models of this beautiful sports car. According to the figures we have found there were 1,237 Esprit V8 units produced between 1996 and 2004 and from what we see records indicate that there are only 95 licensed and 146 SORN Esprit S4 V8s in the UK, less than 20% of the original build. This limited number highlights the exclusivity of owning such a distinguished piece of British motoring history.

This surprisingly well equipped Esprit has spent a lot of its life being professionally stored hence the very sensible mileage on the car. During its life the car has seen a dealer approved speedo replacement that is fully documented and the advertised mileage is the complete mileage of the vehicle.
