HGV Traffic Planner / Transport Manager – Up to 45,000 + Career Progression

Location: Lancashire

Hours: Monday to Friday, 45 hours per week

Salary: Up to 45,000

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well–established, reputable haulage company with a strong industry presence and a solid, loyal customer base.

As the HGV Traffic Planner / Transport Manager, you'll take responsibility for planning, coordinating, and managing daily transport operations. You'll work closely with drivers, customers, and internal teams to deliver a reliable, efficient, and compliant service.

You'll oversee a team of around 15 people, ensuring smooth day–to–day operations while keeping service levels high.

Key Responsibilities

Plan daily HGV routes and schedules

Lead, support, and manage a transport team of approx. 15 staff

Ensure compliance with transport legislation and company policies

Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and stakeholders

Monitor fleet performance, delivery times, and efficiency

Resolve issues quickly to maintain excellent service standards

Support the business with continuous improvements in transport operations
