Summary:

We are seeking an exceptional Transport Director to take strategic and operational leadership of a significant transport operation

This is a high–profile leadership opportunity for an experienced transport professional who can combine commercial thinking, operational excellence and strong people leadership to drive performance, efficiency and continued growth. Reporting directly to the senior leadership team, you will have overall responsibility for the transport operation, developing and delivering a clear strategy across fleet, drivers, compliance, safety, customer service and operational performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Leading a large–scale transport operation and senior management teamDeveloping and implementing the overall transport strategyDriving operational efficiency, service levels and profitabilityMaintaining the highest standards of O Licence, DVSA, H&S and regulatory complianceLeading fleet optimisation, cost control and investment decisionsDeveloping a high–performing culture across the transport functionBuilding strong relationships with customers, suppliers and key stakeholdersIdentifying opportunities for technology, automation and process improvementManaging budgets, KPIs and commercial performanceEnsuring the operation is fully aligned with wider business objectivesKey Skills / Experience:

Significant senior–level experience within transport, logistics or distributionExperience leading large teams and multi–site or complex operationsStrong knowledge of UK transport legislation and complianceA commercially focused and data–driven approachExcellent leadership and stakeholder–management skillsA track record of delivering measurable operational improvementsThe confidence and credibility to operate at board and executive level
