We are recruiting on behalf of a well–established manufacturing business in Clacton–on–Sea who are looking to add a Stores Controller to their team.

This role will suit someone with previous stores, warehouse or stock control experience in a busy manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for stock accuracy, goods movements and supporting the day–to–day running of the stores department. A Counterbalance Forklift ticket would be a distinct advantage

Loading and unloading deliveriesChecking and counting of stockSupplying materials to production areasGoods In and Goods Out dutiesCarrying out stock checks and cycle countsMaintaining accurate stock records and processing stock movementsCarrying out quality checks on incoming materialsInvestigating stock discrepanciesEnsuring stock is correctly stored and labelledWorking closely with warehouse, production and purchasing teamsFollowing all Health & Safety proceduresThe ideal Stores Controller will have:

A current Counterbalance Forklift licence (an advantage)Knowledge of Logistics Distribution and Supply ChainPrevious forklift experience within a warehouse, stores or manufacturing environmentExperience within Stores, Stock Control, Goods In, Goods Out or Inventory ControlGood IT skills and attention to detailExperience using stock control, ERP or warehouse management systems would be advantageousA proactive and organised approach to workFor more information or to apply, please submit your CV today.
