Liaise with customers to offer a range of freight forwarding servicesPlan and coordinate freight and shipments between the UK and the EU on behalf of customersHandle all relevant documentation, ensuring all data is correct and in line with regulationsUse CargowiseONE to arrange customs clearance services, upload documents, create files, and maintain job informationQuote jobs for customers, agreeing on rates with stakeholdersMaintain relationships with existing and prospective customers and suppliers, identifying ways to maximise the profitability of freight forwarding operations Identify ways to increase service offerings and customer baseAllocate supplier purchase invoicesRoad Freight Operator Skills and Experience:

A genuine interest in logistics and freight forwarding is essentialPrevious experience in logistics, customs, or freight forwarding is a plus, but not required. We're also open to candidates with a relevant degree or strong experience in another sector who are keen to move into logisticsA strong work ethic is crucial; we're looking for someone committed, eager to learn, and driven to make a positive impactGood administrative skills and strong computer literacy are important. You should be comfortable using Microsoft Office and open to learning different CRM systemsExcellent communication skills are a must. You'll need to be confident, personable, and able to communicate effectively with both colleagues and customers
