GBP55,000 – GBP60,000 + GBP4,500 Car Allowance

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Port Terminal Manager to lead operations at a major bulk terminal within the Humber region. Reporting to the Deputy Port Director, this role is responsible for the overall leadership, operational delivery, and commercial performance of the terminal.

The successful candidate will take full accountability for the business unit s financial performance, including revenue delivery, P&L ownership, cost control, and budget management. This is a senior leadership role requiring a balance of strategic oversight and hands–on operational management to ensure safe, efficient, and profitable terminal operations.

Previous management experience within a port, marine, shipping operationStrong experience within ports, terminals, or bulk handling operationsProven leadership experience in an operational management roleStrong commercial and financial acumen, including P&L responsibilityExperience managing performance, budgets, and operational targetsExcellent stakeholder management skills across internal and external partnersIOSH Managing Safely (or equivalent)Engineering or asset management knowledge within industrial environmentsExperience working with maintenance or capital projects teamsKnowledge of port safety regulations and frameworksExperience with SAP systems Duties and Responsibilities;

Lead safe, efficient day–to–day terminal operations and drive high performance across the siteDeliver business strategy, ensuring operational excellence and continuous improvementTake full ownership of P&L, delivering revenue, EBITDA, and cost control targetsMonitor KPIs and implement improvements to enhance productivity and service deliveryBuild and maintain strong relationships with customers, stakeholders, and partnersAct as the senior operational contact for customers, ensuring consistent service deliveryPromote a strong safety–first culture and ensure full regulatory complianceLead, coach, and develop operational teams, fostering a high–performance environmentEnsure effective planning and use of labour, plant, and resourcesWork closely with engineering teams to maintain asset reliability and performanceSupport delivery of capital projects and provide operational input into investmentsDrive employee engagement, succession planning, and continuous development If you have Port Management experience and would like to be considered for this opportunity, please apply via the link.
