Operations Clerk Job Overview

Our client is seeking a reliable and motivated Operations Clerk to join their team in Colnbrook. This role is a mix of hands–on warehouse work and driving responsibilities, supporting both import and export operations. It's an excellent opportunity for someone with industry experience who is looking to grow within a fast–paced logistics environment.

Key responsibilities include:

Supporting import, export, and fulfilment operations, including: Picking, packing, shipment labelling and baggingProcessing shipments and handling associated admin tasksPerforming general warehouse duties across all departmentsCollecting and delivering shipments between the warehouse and airport airline shedsCompleting paperwork and filing to support warehouse functionsLiaising with internal departments to ensure smooth communication and workflowMaintaining a clean and safe working environment, reporting any incidents or near–missesConducting regular vehicle and equipment checks (e.g., forklifts, vans)Undertaking forklift duties (training will be provided if required)Supporting occasional ad hoc collections and deliveries in surrounding areas

Operations Clerk Job Requirements

Prior experience in an import/export warehouse environmentFull UK Driving Licence (25+ preferred for insurance purposes, but strong under–25 drivers will be considered)Comfortable with time–critical tasks and shifting prioritiesCompetent using computer systems and handling admin tasksSome exposure to export customs entriesStrong communication skills and a team–oriented attitude

Desirable:

Forklift licence (or willingness to train)X–ray screener certificationA proactive approach to personal and professional development

Operations Clerk Salary & Benefits

27,500 salaryMonday to Friday 09.00– 17.30Candidates must have the right to work in the UKOffer subject to 5–year referencing and DBS checksCargo Operative training will be provided if requiredMaximum of 6 points on a driving licence accepted, though a clean licence is preferred
