Ocean Freight Coordinator – Witham – Up to 40,000

Our client, a well–established and expanding freight forwarder, is seeking an experienced Import Freight Operator to join their growing team in Witham. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional with a solid background in freight forwarding to become part of a busy and supportive Import LCL department.

Package & Hours

Salary: 35,000 – 40,000 (depending on experience)Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 4:00pm (08:00am – 05:00pm also an option)Holidays: 20 days annual leave + bank holidays

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate and manage import shipments across sea, air, and road freight.Liaise effectively with overseas offices, agents, and partners to ensure smooth shipment handling.Manage end–to–end shipment files, maintaining accuracy, compliance, and efficiency throughout.Raise sales and purchase invoices and maintain accurate, up–to–date records.Update and manage client bookings, rates, and shipment details within shared systems.Develop and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring exceptional service delivery.Resolve queries and complaints promptly and professionally, in line with company policy.

The Ideal Candidate

Proven experience in import freight forwarding for a UK based forwarder, experience in LCL operations.Strong understanding of international shipping documentation and procedures.Excellent communication, organisational, and problem–solving skills.Ability to work under pressure in a fast–paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.Confident using freight management systems and Microsoft Office applications.WR Logistics are the recruitment partner for all vacancies in the logistics industry.
