Salary: 30,000– 38,000

Hours: Monday–Friday 2 Vacancies office based

We're currently working with a global logistics and courier business that is expanding its freight forwarding operation in Eastleigh and is looking to appoint two Multimodal Freight Forwarding Operators to join the team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a solid freight forwarding background who enjoys a varied operational role and wants to join an established international business.

The Role

Working as part of the freight forwarding operation, you'll be responsible for supporting the smooth movement of shipments from booking through to delivery, working across multiple modes and liaising with customers, overseas offices, carriers and other stakeholders.

The role will suit an experienced operator who is comfortable working in a fast–paced environment and can manage their own workload while maintaining a high level of customer service.

Your responsibilities will include:

Managing day–to–day freight forwarding operations across multiple modesCoordinating shipments from booking through to final deliveryLiaising with customers, suppliers, carriers and overseas officesPreparing and checking shipping and customs documentationTracking shipments and keeping customers updated throughout the processResolving operational issues and responding to customer queriesEnsuring shipments are handled accurately and in line with company proceduresSupporting the wider team with general freight forwarding requirements

About You

We're keen to speak with candidates who have previous experience within freight forwarding operations and are confident managing shipments from start to finish.

You don't necessarily need to have experience across every mode, but a multimodal background would be highly advantageous.
