Description

We are currently recruiting for a Logistics Supervisor to join a well–established business based in Inverness.

This is a hands–on role within a busy transport and distribution operation, working closely with drivers, vehicles and the wider operations team to ensure everything runs safely and efficiently.

We're keen to speak with candidates who have experience in transport, logistics, fleet or depot operations and enjoy being involved in the day–to–day running of a busy depot.

Key Responsibilities

Carrying out driver debriefs and dealing with issues following deliveries.

Reviewing failed or delayed deliveries and arranging appropriate follow–up.

Supporting route planning, vehicle allocation and daily transport operations.

Identifying and recording vehicle defects, breakdowns and maintenance requirements.

Carrying out depot, yard and vehicle checks to maintain safety and compliance.

Ensuring driver paperwork and operational records are completed accurately.

Liaising with drivers, external service providers and the wider operations team.

Supporting vehicle inspections, depot audits and toolbox talks.

Using transport management systems and resolving day–to–day operational issues.

About You

Previous experience within transport, logistics, fleet or depot operations.

A good understanding of driver and vehicle compliance.

Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage changing priorities.

Confidence dealing directly with drivers and resolving operational issues.

Good communication skills with a practical, hands–on approach.

Experience with transport management systems or an HGV licence would be advantageous but is not essential.

We would also welcome applications from candidates with strong transport or depot experience who are looking to take the next step into a supervisory position.

What's on Offer?

A competitive salary, permanent employment and the opportunity to join an established business in a varied supervisory position.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a hands–on operational role and wants to take on responsibility within a busy transport and distribution environment.

Interested? Apply today with your up–to–date CV and we'll be in touch to discuss the opportunity further.
