Monday Friday, 8:30am 5pm

An employee–owned, well–established freight forwarding business is looking to recruit an Import Logistics Operator to join its growing Liverpool team.

Based in the prestigious Cotton Exchange, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced import professional who enjoys managing shipments from start to finish and wants to be part of a collaborative, supportive team.

The business operates across multimodal freight forwarding, handling ocean, road and air freight movements worldwide. The role will primarily focus on import sea freight, with opportunities to gain exposure to road freight operations.

As an Import Logistics Operator, you will take ownership of shipments throughout the full import process, ensuring customers receive a high level of service from booking through to final delivery.

Previous freight forwarding or logistics operations experienceStrong import sea freight knowledgeExperience managing shipments from start to finishGood understanding of Incoterms is desirableExcellent communication and customer service skillsStrong organisational skills and attention to detailThe ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines simultaneouslyMulti–modal experience, ideally sea & road freightGood organisational skills with the ability to manage and prioritise workloadsStrong customer service skills Duties and Responsibilities;

Managing import sea freight shipments from start to finishCoordinating FCL and deep–sea import movementsLiaising with overseas agents, shipping lines, hauliers and customersMonitoring shipment progress and providing regular updatesArranging transport and delivery requirementsHandling documentation and ensuring compliance with IncotermsManaging customer queries and resolving operational issuesWorking closely with third–party customs providersSupporting road freight operations when required If you have Freight Forwarding / Import Experience and would like to be considered for this opportunity, please apply via the link.
