HGV Class 1 Tramper Driver - Cowley, Oxfordshire

People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Tramper Driver to join our well-established client based in Cowley, Oxfordshire.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work, weekly pay, and genuine opportunities for long-term progression with a leading logistics operation.

This role would suit experienced drivers looking for work as an HGV Class 1 Driver, LGV Class 1 Driver, CE Driver, Tramper Driver, or Truck Driver.

Shifts:

• Monday to Friday • Start times between 04:00 - 07:00

Rates of Pay:

• GBP18.81 per hour • GBP25.00 Night Out Allowance

Day-to-Day Duties:

As an HGV Class 1 Tramper Driver, your duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Carrying out deliveries to organisations across the UK • Operating and driving Category CE vehicles safely and efficiently • Performing pre- and post-journey vehicle inspections • Ensuring all goods are loaded and secured correctly • Adhering to UK traffic laws and transport regulations • Communicating effectively with the transport office and customers • Reporting vehicle defects or maintenance requirements promptly • Assisting with loading and unloading where required

Essential Skills:

To be successful as an HGV Class 1 Tramper Driver, you will need:

• A valid UK Category CE Driving Licence • A minimum of 12 months' experience driving Category CE vehicles • No more than six penalty points for minor infringements (no major endorsement codes) • A valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card • Good spoken and written English • Excellent punctuality and timekeeping skills • A good understanding of UK road traffic laws and regulations • Strong communication skills

Desirable Experience:

• Previous commercial driving experience • Previous tramper or long-distance driving experience beneficial

Training Provided:

• Driver assessment required prior to starting • Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout the assignment
