Freelance Route Tester - Edinburgh - £190 per round

Description

Roundz is recruiting up to two freelance Route Testers for an eight-week paid pilot starting October 2026. We deliver leaflets door to door for Edinburgh businesses. You will walk rounds across Edinburgh, test our iPhone or Android app, and tell us how the routes work in practice.

PAY AND COMMITMENT
• £190 per completed round: £140 for walking and £50 for app testing and feedback.
• One round is 1,000 leaflets, supplied as 10 numbered bundles of 100. It takes about 8–10 hours, including depot pickup and feedback.
• We expect to offer roughly one round per week for eight weeks. You choose whether to accept each round and when to walk it, finishing within 14 days. There are no shifts or minimum hours.
• The £140 walking fee is paid through the app's Stripe payouts and the £50 feedback fee by bank transfer, both within seven days after the round has been checked and feedback received.
• After the pilot, further rounds may be available at the standard £140 walking fee.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
Choose a suitable Edinburgh round; collect the leaflets from our Edinburgh depot; scan each bundle and use the app's map while delivering to 1,000 doors. Once the full round is delivered, complete a 15–20 minute form about the app, streets and route.

WHAT YOU NEED
• Age 16 or over and the right to work in the UK on a self-employed basis. We check ID before the first round. Student visas do not permit self-employed work.
• Your own iPhone 12 or newer running iOS 17+, or an Android phone running Android 8+, with mobile data.
• Comfortable walking 8–10 hours per round, including tenement stairs.

This is freelance, self-employed work. You choose your rounds and hours and handle your own tax and National Insurance. Either side can stop the pilot at any time. Before your first round, you will sign a short tester agreement and location consent. GPS records only while a bundle is open, with an on-screen indicator.
