Description

Do you enjoy solving problems and providing excellent customer service in a fast–paced environment?

This is an exciting opportunity for a Fleet Coordinator to join a leading logistics business based in Appleton, Warrington, providing essential support to HGV drivers and the wider fleet operation. As a Fleet Coordinator, you'll play a key role in ensuring vehicle breakdowns, repairs and maintenance are managed efficiently, helping to keep a large commercial fleet operating safely and effectively.

This Fleet Coordinator role would suit someone with previous customer service, logistics or fleet administration experience who enjoys working in a busy environment, can think on their feet and takes pride in delivering excellent service. You'll work closely with drivers, suppliers and internal teams, taking ownership of fleet incidents from start to finish. Due to the location and limited public transport links, candidates will ideally have their own transport to commute to site.

What will you be doing as a Fleet Coordinator?

Managing and coordinating vehicle breakdowns, repairs and routine maintenance with external suppliers

Responding to driver calls and resolving fleet–related queries within agreed timescales

Assessing reported vehicle defects and determining the appropriate course of action

Taking ownership of fleet incidents, liaising with accident management providers and operational teams through to resolution

Updating operations teams with repair progress and estimated completion times

Maintaining accurate fleet records, including breakdowns, defects and purchase orders

Updating and maintaining the internal fleet management system

Ensuring vehicle maintenance records are compliant with company procedures and legislative requirements

Monitoring supplier performance to ensure agreed service levels are achieved

Completing incident escalation documentation where required

Supporting the wider Fleet Administration team, including holiday cover

Keeping up to date with internal processes and operational updates

We would LOVE to hear from you if you have the following skills and experience:

Previous experience as a Fleet Coordinator, Fleet Administrator, Transport Administrator, Logistics Coordinator, Logistics Administrator, Customer Service Advisor, Helpdesk Advisor, Operations Administrator or Transport Planner

Previous experience working within a customer service, logistics, fleet or transport environment

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the confidence to build relationships at all levels

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

Good problem–solving skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure

Competent using Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook, with accurate keyboard skills

Ability to work independently whilst also contributing to a collaborative team

GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths would be advantageous

A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is highly desirable due to the location in Appleton, Warrington and limited public transport links.

What will you get in return for your work as a Fleet Coordinator?

12.82 per hour (equivalent to 26,660 per annum)

Weekly pay

Full–time, 40 hours per week

Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm

Temporary assignment until the end of the year, with the potential for longer–term opportunities

Free on–site parking

Paid annual leave (accrued)

Enjoy a regular Monday to Friday working pattern with your weekends free

Opportunity to join a leading logistics business within a supportive and friendly team

Valuable experience working within a busy fleet and logistics operation
