Hours: Monday – Friday 8:30am–17:00pm – Hybrid 2 days from home 3 office

European Road Freight Coordinator

Are you a highly organised, proactive operations professional with experience in European freight? Our client is looking for a European Operations Coordinator to join their dynamic Operations team in Chelmsford. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of end–to–end shipment management while working closely with customers, suppliers, and transport partners.

European Road Freight Coordinator Role and Responsibilities:

As a European Operations Coordinator, you'll be at the heart of operations, ensuring shipments run smoothly from start to finish. Your day–to–day will include:

Managing all aspects of import and export shipping across multiple modes of transportLiaising with customers, suppliers, and agents to keep shipments on track and meet requirementsPreparing accurate quotes, costing, and invoicingEnsuring all documentation is complete and compliantMaintaining strong relationships with key customers and suppliers to drive efficiency and business growthSupporting continuous improvement initiatives and contributing to process enhancements within the team

Who You Are:

Experienced in coordinating European shipments (import/export)Knowledgeable in working with transport companies, agents, and freight forwardersOrganised, detail–oriented, and able to manage competing prioritiesStrong communicator who can build and maintain relationships across all stakeholdersA proactive problem solver who thrives in a fast–paced environment
