Despatch Coordinator

A well–established manufacturing business is recruiting for a Despatch Coordinator to join their team, due to increased export requirements and business growth.

You will be focusing on the accurate and compliant despatch of products to customers worldwide. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced export and logistics professional who enjoys a hands–on role in a busy manufacturing environment.

As a Despatch Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating international and domestic shipments, ensuring all documentation and processes meet UK and overseas regulations, including the following duties –

Arranging deliveries via courier, air freight and sea freightManaging carrier bookings and maintaining communication with logistics partnersPreparing export documentation in line with UK and international regulations, including liaison with the Chamber of CommerceCoordinating logistics, import and export shipping to ensure accurate and timely despatchProducing commercial invoices, packing lists and certificates of origin and filing documentation electronicallyHandling customer communication via email and telephoneLiaising with Credit Control to confirm account status prior to shipmentWorking closely with Sales to ensure customer delivery requirements and dates are metSupporting improvements to despatch controls, systems and working practicesIdeally you will have the following skills & experience –

Recent office–based experience within Export, Logistics, Shipping, Freight Forwarding and/or HaulageStrong understanding of UK import and export procedures and customs requirementsKnowledge of IncotermsExcellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlinesHigh attention to detail and accuracyExperience using SAP (desirable but not essential)On offer for this Despatch Coordinator role –
