Driver Hire Southampton are recruiting on behalf of a well–established general haulage company for an experienced Class 2 Driver. This is a great opportunity to join a professional and supportive operation delivering palletised freight to commercial customers across the UK.

About this Class 2 position:

Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturdays on a rota basisStart time: 7:00amLong–distance deliveries throughout the UKDelivering palletised freight to commercial customersUse of a pump truck for unloading pallets (some sites may unload via forklift)Completing daily vehicle checks and accurately maintaining all paperwork

Requirements from you as a Class 2 Driver:

Full UK Class 2 (Category C) licenceValid CPC and Digital Tachograph cardMinimum of 2 years' Class 2 driving experiencePrevious experience strapping loads securelyExperience driving 18–tonne or 26–tonne curtain–side tail–lift vehiclesGood understanding of drivers' hours and health & safety regulationsStrong communication skills and the ability to work independentlyReliable, professional, and safety–focused approach
