Location: Clacton–on–Sea, Essex

Salary: 40,000 – 47,500 per annum

Hours: Monday to Friday

Contract: Permanent

We are seeking an experienced Class 1 HGV Driver to join our logistics team in Clacton–on–Sea. This is a fantastic opportunity for a reliable and safety–focused driver looking for a stable Monday–Friday role with competitive pay, nationwide driving and excellent benefits.

Key Responsibilities

Drive Class 1 HGVs nationwide, including operating a 26–tonne vehicle.

Carry out safe and timely deliveries and collections across the UK.

Complete all driving duties in line with transport, distribution and compliance procedures.

Maintain up–to–date knowledge of vehicle safety, road regulations, and distribution processes.

Support the Logistics Manager with routing, scheduling, and load planning to improve efficiency.

Ensure all PPE is worn and maintained in line with company policy.

Maintain excellent housekeeping standards inside the vehicle and at the Operations Centre.

Complete necessary paperwork, digital records, and tachograph entries accurately.

Occasional overnight stays required

Requirements for Class 1 HGV Driver

Valid Class 1 (Category C+E) licence.

Valid CPC qualification.

Valid digital tachograph card.

Previous experience in Class 1 HGV driving.

Knowledge of drag/trailer combinations (training provided)Strong understanding of driver hours, WTD, and vehicle safety checks.

Good communication skills and a professional approach.
