Class 1 Driver

Description

Driver Hire Southampton is recruiting for a permanent Class 1 Driver to join a specialist operation supplying some of the UK's leading housebuilders and construction companies.

This is more than a standard Class 1 driving role. You'll be operating bulk powder tankers and silo placement vehicles fitted with specialist lifting equipment. You will be delivering and positioning dry silo systems at construction sites across the UK.

Full training will be provided, giving you the skills and knowledge to operate the specialist equipment safely, efficiently and to the required industry standards.

About this Class 1 driving position:

Permanent positionMonday to Friday, with occasional weekend work during busy periodsTypically a 6:00am start40–hour working week, plus overtimeDelivering dry silo systems to customer construction sitesOperating specialist lorry–mounted lifting equipment to position silosRefilling silos using advanced powder tanker technologyWorking directly with customers, so professionalism and good communication are importantAs a Class 1 Driver, we require from you:

Full UK Class 1 licence with valid CPC and Digi Tacho cardGood customer service and timekeeping skillsExperienced and newly qualified drivers are welcome to applyPrevious experience in a similar role is advantageous, but not essentialOwn transport is essential due to the location of the clientWhat you'll get in return:
