Castle View Construction Surrey Ltd is a building contractor working across London and the South East. We carry out extensions, structural alterations, conversions, full refurbishments, block and communal works and property maintenance for homeowners, landlords, managing agents, developers and other contractors.

We survey and design in-house, which is unusual for a contractor. We run our own 3D laser scanning and 360 degree capture equipment, so on the first visit we take a dimensionally accurate digital record of the whole property, model it, and produce our own measured drawings. You see the space and the proposed changes before anything is committed. In practice that means fewer visits, fewer surprises when we open up, a permanent record of the property as it was, and no waiting weeks on a third party to draw something up. Combined with a working knowledge of planning and building regulations and our own structural engineers and fire strategy consultants, we can take a project from an initial idea through survey, design and approvals to a finished build, without you having to assemble a team yourself.

Our recent project experience spans full-width rear extensions with structural steel box frames, foundations, warm flat roofs and bi-fold doors; office to residential conversion, taking commercial space through layout alterations, structural work, fire compartmentation, drainage and a new incoming water supply to finished apartments; loft, garage and internal conversions to habitable space; whole-property refurbishment; and full electrical installation to a 40-flat residential block.

Every job is priced from a written scope of works with a fixed lump sum and a programme, so you know the cost and the timescale before anyone starts. Where something cannot be known until we open up, we say so and price a defined allowance rather than leaving it open ended.

We are fully insured, with £5,000,000 public liability and £10,000,000 employer's liability through AXA Business. Certificates are available on request. All operatives hold current CSCS or ECS cards, we have SMSTS-qualified site management, and we take on CDM and principal contractor duties where a project requires it.

We work in occupied homes and buildings regularly. Floors and finishes are protected, the working area is kept contained, and we clean at the end of every day.
