Ransomes 18" Marquis Petrol Lawn Mower – Classic Green

This is a 60s/70s Marquis with the sought after classic F12 "Sloper" engine.
The engine starts and runs well. The mower has had previous welded repairs to the grass box and a welded repair to the handlebar clamp (Replacement clamps are available second hand). The petrol cap is a non-standard plastic one but does the job. The mower could do with general fettling including a new throttle cable and new wooden front rollers.
I bought this mower because I love the F12 sloper engines and had visions of getting my lawn back to the condition where I could justify a large cylinder mower. I've now accepted that my lawn is never going to get to that stage so will continue to press on with my rotary mower.
Pick up is YO26 on the west side of York, 5 minutes from the A64. I can assist with loading - you'll need a large estate car or trailer - it fitted in my Passat.
