Retro Dell Laptop - Inspiron 9400 (Core 2 Duo, 3GB RAM) 17 inch screen 1900x1200
St Albans, Hertfordshire
£25
1 / 10
Description
Old laptop from around 2008. I've had since new and originally cost ~£800.
DVD/RW. Firewire 1394. Modem. LAN. WiFi. 120GB HDD.
4 GB RAM installed, but BIOS only ever saw 3GB.
However it's not powerful enough for my needs anymore as hardware requirements for modern software have moved on since then.
Still can work for some cases (e.g. Linux users, people wishing to use older Windows versions etc).
Good condition other than:
(1) some of the keyboard keys don't work (though fine with external keyboard, SSH, etc). A few years ago I saw replacement keyboards available on Ebay
(2) The battery died long time ago, so needs to run on AC power. I'm not even sure I have the battery anymore.
