Selling our Range Rover evoque that we have owned for the last five years.
Within the last year it has had
1) a fully rebuilt engine - the cam belt snapped even though it was changed so rather than get a second hand engine from a breakers and not knowing if it’s a well looked after engine I opted to have it fully rebuilt by a friend who is a Range Rover main dealer mechanic. All necessary parts were replaced as well as all parts that may need replacing soon like the water pump etc etc this cost around £2000 just in parts, if it was done by the same mechanic but at his place of work (Land Rover) it would have cost over £7000 as it was a massive job with the front of the car and engine out then stripped down etc. only done about 4000 miles on new engine.
2) new shock absorbers all round , expensive job as it’s adaptive suspension.
3) new springs all round
4) new brake discs and pads all round
5) new front tyres last month
6) new gear box selector
When we was looking to buy a evoque we looked at probably 20 and gave up in the end as I’m very fussy. Then someone visited our house in this car to buy a puppy and I said to the man if you ever sell it I will buy it as it was immaculate it was his pride and joy, fast forward 6 months I jumped at the chance to buy it. It’s been immaculately kept ever since.
It has every extra you can think of. Panoramic glass roof with electric blind - electric folding mirrors - superb red leather interior (far better than boring black imo) - dab - etc etc etc
Paintwork is in great condition
Interior is in great condition
Mechanically perfect
Everything works as it should
Alloys may benefit from a re spray as the lacquer is coming off , I’ve been quoted £200 for this but have not done it as with the alloys being black it’s not that noticeable
This car ticks all the boxes it’s in stunning condition and has had all the new parts this year so not to be confused with average evoques . Full service history mot till January but I would have no problem putting a new one on for the new buyer . Private plate will be removed will be back on 64 plate. £8500
