Description: A remarkable 1959 Lambretta Li 150, transformed over five years into an exquisitely detailed Princess Diana-themed custom scooter, with a level of craftsmanship rarely seen on two wheels,The brainchild of highly respected UK scooter customiser Darryl Braga, the original Li 150 was acquired in 2021 as little more than a blank canvas,The superb paintwork is by Mark Bullivant of Retro Paint Shop, complemented by intricate airbrushing from Colin Fitzgerald of Art Werks. Further detailing includes exquisite engraving by Colin Wilkins, chrome and gold plating by Karl Russell at Quality Chrome, Hull, bespoke seating by Corky, and specially themed components supplied by Keith Newman at K2 Customs and Glynn at Cresta Gems,Final assembly and painstaking process of bringing the many individual elements together was entrusted to the renowned Rob Miller of Simply Retro,The depth of detail is extraordinary, with seemingly every surface offering something new to discover. The result is a scooter that manages to be both technically accomplished and respectful in its interpretation of its subject,Power is provided by a 175cc cast-kitted engine, breathing through a standard carburettor and highly detailed exhaust system. The engine has remained unused since completion, while stopping and suspension duties are handled by standard brakes, BGM front dampers and a BGM rear shock absorber, ‘The People’s Princess’ has been exhibited at just two shows, securing Best in Show and People’s Choice trophies at both events,Featured on the cover and within the October 2026 edition of Scootering Magazine,A fitting testament to the imagination, patience and extraordinary craftsmanship invested in its creation. This is a very special Lambretta that rewards close inspection; indeed, look once, then look again,Please note that the Lambretta is not currently road registered.,NB; Thanks to  Gary Chapman / Scootering Magazine for the kind use of the images.
