Heavy Duty 3-section Ladder in Good Conditon

Each section measures 11'11" (3.63m) long and has 13 rungs spaced 10" (approx 25cm) apart
Fully closed, the set measures 363 x 44 x 17cm
Full weight 30kg. Obviously much lighter when only one or two sections are used. It's wise to have an assistant when erecting to full height, unless you are particularly capable (or fit a ladder extension pulley).
The rungs are housed into the stiles at full thickness. They do not fully penetrate the stiles but are housed "blind" which preserves strength. For additional security, tie rods are fitted beneath every rung. Although more expensive than aluminium to buy new, timber ladders are still in demand, being widely used in horticulture and industries such as rail and utilities where they are valued for their electrical safety and their warmth in cold weather.
