ER6F a fantastic fun first big bike, with all the toque of a inline twin to get you from 0-60 in eye watering speeds!

My first big bike in need of TLC. Its been in storage since I moved onto a newer bike roughly 3 years ago.

Priced down to sell as I'm about to move house and need to free up the space.
Great first big bike to get and a good project to get your teeth into.

To be clear this is a project, and you cant collect and ride off on it, I'll try and be as thorough as possible to list what needs doing.

Firstly the issues are mostly cosmetic and to get this back on the road wont break the bank.

Mechanical issues:
Worst issue, back break calliper needs replacing, as does the disc.

Its been refurbished a couple of times and multiple new pistons but in the end it kept seizing and needs to go, it was one of the reasons I pushed myself to get a new bike as I was tired of repairing that brake.

Front brakes started to seize from being in storage, but likely can be refurbished but id just get a new front and back set and be done with it, they don't cost that much.

Clearly needs a new chain. Sprockets can be cleaned and aren't that old.

It also needs a new handlebar as it got bent during a slide.

The frame is straight with no known issues.



That's the mechanical out the way, the engine was running fine before it went into storage, but the battery is now totally dead and needs replacing, at this time I've not yet been able to get hold of a jump start to try it. (will update when I can)
I believe the odo has about 40000 miles on it, but I'll update this once I have a jump starter for it.

The bike does suffer from a known defect in Kawasaki's of this era. The coil sticks are known to wear and short against the chassis causing the engine to misfire. The simple fix it to wrap the sticks in electrical tape. This is a well known documented issue and there's plenty of options to resolve it.

Tyres were less than a year old when it went into storage. Though there is one not great stone gash in the rear tyre that I spotted today.

There's a little spotting on one of the front fork stanchions. Its not awful but not ideal. Will keep you going for a few years but might be worth considering a new set at some point.

The swing arm was re-powder coated and had new bearings a couple of years before it went into storage.



The worst of the cosmetics is the fairing!

It needs a full fairing kit. It was already badly scratched before I got the bike, but I had a nasty slide on it one evening hitting a patch of mud.

A shoulder piece is also missing.

New fairing kits can be grabbed of AliE for a couple hundred quid.

There's also aluminium fluff (corrosion) happening on the engine housing and wheels. This can be treated and repainted. Or you could just buy new performance wheels like my brother would!


All in all its a great bike and once its back on the road a huge amount of fun to ride. A rough estimate of costs to fully do up the bike would come to around 500 quid.



Priced at £1000 to sell. I wont go lower so please don't ask.

You will need a trailer or van to collect it. It moves but chains stiff.

It has its documents and 2 keys. Comes with its GIVI topbox mount.
