For sale is my Jaguar XJ XJL 3.0D V6 Portfolio Long Wheelbase, a superb luxury saloon offering an exceptional combination of comfort, performance, refinement and specification.

The car currently has 108,349 miles and has been maintained by Jaguar specialists, with a substantial amount of preventative maintenance and repair work carried out over the years.

I have kept the invoices and receipts for the work.

Major recent work & maintenance

This is not a car that has simply been driven and neglected. It has had a considerable amount of money spent on mechanical maintenance.

March 2026 – AJ Tech Ltd, Jaguar specialist

The rear subframe was replaced with a reconditioned and enamelled rear subframe, with the necessary associated fixings and work carried out.

Invoice total: £1,718.29

Work included:

Removal and replacement of corroded rear subframe
Lanoguard subframe treatment
Replacement fixings as required
Mounting plate bolts
Ball-joint boots

The timing belt system was attended to:

Cambelt replaced
Cambelt tensioner replaced
Idler wheel replaced
Front accessory drive belt replaced
The invoice specifically records the work as being carried out on the 3.0D Gen.1 engine.

Further suspension work was carried out, including:

Front track control arm bushes replaced
Both front road springs replaced
Rear lower wishbone replaced
Suspension height calibration carried out
Upper wishbone replaced
Suspension-related fixings/clips replaced
Gearbox oil/filter level checked and corrected
Invoice total: £1,750+

This means there is a very good paper trail showing considerable expenditure on maintaining the car, rather than simply leaving faults until they become major problems.


The XJL is a genuinely impressive car to drive. The Long Wheelbase gives it an enormous amount of rear passenger space, while the Portfolio specification gives it the luxury feel these cars are known for.

The 3.0 V6 diesel provides plenty of effortless performance while still being capable of respectable fuel economy for such a large luxury vehicle.

It is a car that feels considerably more expensive than its current used-car price suggests.
