Overview
Desirable four wheel drive model which is surprisingly capable. Drove the car through a really bad winter period with high drifting snow and didn’t get stuck once!
Mileage of 118197
We purchased earlier in 2024 but now being replaced by a 4x4 truck. In the last 12 months the car has had a new battery, rear brake pipes, rear parcel shelf and boot liner.
Drives well, changes gear smoothly and is powerful but economical enough to make it a daily driver and with winter approaching it has the obvious benefit of four wheel drive.
In May 2023 the vehicle had a major service costing £1179.28
Parts and heavily reduced labour cost for the n/s sill in July 24 cost over £800
Supplies with an impressive file of paperwork including invoices for parts and servicing running into the thousands from both Jaguar Main Dealer and Independent Specialists
The rear seats fold as they should to provide ample load space. The parcel shelf works and is easily removed to provide extra space.
The split tail gate is fully operational which is a rarity on an X Type of this age.
Before presenting the vehicle for mot we found a smallish hole in the n/s sill so we took the precaution and fitted a brand new sill to futureproof it for mot’s in the years ahead. The O/S sill was fine.
The central locking works on the remote and we have two keys (all be it a bit tatty)
The car does have small battle scars commensurate with it’s age.
