Job Description: Temporary Service Desk Support Coordinator

Location: Holborn, London

Pay Rate: £18 - £20 per hour

Contract: Temporary (1 month assignment)

Start Date: ASAP

Overview

We are seeking a proactive and organised Service Desk Support Coordinator to join a busy IT support team in Holborn. This temporary position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, providing excellent support coordination, and ensuring smooth day‑to‑day operation of service desk activities.

Key Responsibilities

Act as the first point of contact for incoming IT support queries (phone, email, ticketing system).

Log, prioritise and assign tickets to the appropriate support technicians.

Monitor ticket progress, ensuring SLAs are met and escalating issues when necessary.

Coordinate communication between users, technical teams and third‑party suppliers.

Maintain accurate records of incidents, service requests and resolutions.

Support onboarding/offboarding processes including account setup and access requests.

Assist in producing service desk performance reports and identifying areas for improvement.

Provide general administrative support to the IT team as required.Skills & Experience Required

Previous experience in an IT service desk, helpdesk or coordination role.

Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.

Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused approach.

Experience using ticketing or ITSM tools

Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage competing priorities.

Good understanding of basic IT concepts (e.g., user accounts, hardware/software issues).

Professional, reliable and confident dealing with stakeholders at all levels.What's on Offer
