Solutions Architect (Gov)
Remote first / 6+ months / Inside / £550-£600 / SC Eligible
SR2 is recruiting for an experienced Solutions Architect to support the design and assurance of technical solutions within a central government, GDS-aligned environment.
This role is suited to someone with strong technical understanding who is comfortable operating in a hands-off capacity, focusing on architecture design, governance, standards, and documentation rather than day-to-day delivery.
The role:
Design and shape technical solutions aligned to business and user needs
Provide architectural oversight and assurance across projects
Ensure solutions comply with governance, security, and architectural standards
Produce and maintain high-quality architectural documentation
Work collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Operate in line with GDS principles and central government best practiceRequirements:
Strong understanding of technical architecture and cloud-based systems
Proven experience working with AWS
Experience in central government and/or GDS environments
Comfortable working in a more hands-off, strategic and solution driven role
Strong governance mindset with excellent documentation skills
Ability to communicate technical concepts xjnqpsq clearly to a range of stakeholders
You must be eligible and happy to go through Security Check (SC) clearanceOverview:
Remote first (adhoc travel to London for key meetings)
Inside IR35
£600 a day
Start date: Feb-March 2026
6 month initial contract
