Senior Full Stack Developer

Contract Length: Initial 1 month with strong potential for extension

Location: Remote

Day rate: £600 - £700 per day outside IR35

Data Idols are working with a private equity-backed data analytics and insights business, is seeking a Full Stack Developer to lead a discovery and assessment phase across its existing product platforms. The organisation operates multiple legacy systems and is looking to evaluate and define a clear re-platforming strategy, consolidating disparate applications into a single, modern, cloud-native platform. The goal is to simplify operations, improve scalability, and materially reduce long-term running costs.

The Opportunity

This is a senior, hands-on developer engagement with real influence. Reporting directly into the CIO, you'll take ownership of a structured discovery process, reviewing current platforms, understanding how they're used, and defining pragmatic options for the next-generation architecture. You'll work directly with existing systems: inspecting database schemas, reviewing source code and DevOps tooling, and collaborating with product teams to understand both custom-built and off-the-shelf application functionality. xjnqpsq From there, you'll shape recommendations covering platform architecture, technology choices, and vendor selection.

Skills & Experience

Background working with PHP or WordPress

Strong experience working with React

Experience working with Javascript

Comfortable acting as the primary technical owner
