Description

Title: Pentaho Developer (Contract) – London, Hybrid

Location: London, UK (Hybrid – 3 days in office)

Contract: 6 months | Rate: £550–£595/day

About the Role:

We are looking for a skilled Pentaho Developer to design and develop ETL workflows, optimize Java and SQL code, and collaborate with data engineers and analysts to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance data solutions. The role involves monitoring ETL performance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring data integrity, while contributing to the architecture and documentation of workflows.

Responsibilities:

* Design and develop ETL workflows using Pentaho Data Integration (PDI).

* Write and optimize Java and SQL code for efficient data processing.

* Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to deliver scalable solutions.

* Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance in ETL processes.

* Monitor ETL performance and implement improvements.

* Troubleshoot and resolve ETL incidents.

* Participate in design reviews and provide recommendations for improvements.

Required Skills & Experience:

* Strong expertise in Pentaho Data Integration (PDI)

* Proven experience designing and implementing ETL workflows

* Proficiency in Java and SQL for data processing

* Ability to optimize ETL performance and scalability

* Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills

Desirable:

* Knowledge of data warehousing concepts

* Experience with cloud-based ETL deployments

* Understanding of security and compliance in data integration

* Exposure to Agile methodologies

* Familiarity with scripting for automation
