Are you an aspiring software developer looking to build your career in an innovative, data-driven environment? We're looking for a Junior Software Developer to join a growing team working on cutting-edge software solutions that support scientific research and healthcare innovation.
This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate or early-career developer to gain hands-on experience across the full software development lifecycle, working alongside experienced software engineers, data scientists and subject matter experts.
What You'll Be Doing
Developing and maintaining Python-based applications and REST APIs.
Building and enhancing web applications using frameworks such as Django and Flask.
Working with SQL databases including PostgreSQL and MySQL.
Supporting data processing and automation tools used in analytical workflows.
Contributing to testing, debugging and software quality initiatives.
Working with cloud technologies including AWS and Google Cloud Platform.
Using Git and participating in collaborative development and code reviews.
Learning modern deployment practices, Docker and CI/CD processes. What We're Looking For
A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Bioinformatics or a related subject, or equivalent practical experience.
Strong foundations in Python development.
Understanding of web development and REST APIs.
Knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
Experience with HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
Familiarity with Git or other version control systems.
Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn.
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset. Nice to Have
Exposure to Django or Flask through university projects, internships or personal projects.
Experience with AWS or Google Cloud Platform.
Knowledge of Docker and CI/CD concepts.
Exposure to Pandas, NumPy, R or machine learning. xjnqpsq
Interest in scientific, healthcare, biotech or data-focused environments.
