Description

IT Technician – 6 Month FTC

Location: Small Dole, West Sussex

Salary: £31,000 – £35,000 per annum (DOE)

Contract: Fixed-Term Contract – 6 months | Full-Time

About the Role

Talented People are recruiting on behalf of a civil engineering and construction organisation for an experienced IT Technician to join their internal IT function on a 6-month FTC. The role will provide first and second line support across office and site environments.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide day-to-day IT support across hardware, software and user tickets.

* Diagnose and resolve issues independently, escalating when required.

* Deliver professional, customer-focused support in person and remotely.

* Build, configure and deploy Windows laptops using approved images.

* Support Android mobile devices via the company MDM system.

* Maintain accurate asset registers, inventories and IT documentation.

* Support onboarding and offboarding processes including access setup.

* Maintain local office IT including printers, AV equipment and entry systems.

* Assist with procurement and improvement of helpdesk processes.

* Support temporary site office IT setups including connectivity solutions.

* Travel to sites or offices approximately once per month.

* Ensure compliance with IT security, access and audit requirements.

Skills & Experience Required

* Previous experience in a 1st or 2nd line IT support role.

* Good understanding of networking, IP addressing and connectivity.

* Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.

* Experience with Windows, Microsoft 365, Android devices and MDM.

* Confident producing documentation, guides and configuration notes.

* Strong customer service and communication skills.

Additional Requirements

* Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (business use insured). xjnqpsq

* Comfortable lifting equipment and assisting with desk and office setups.

* Office-based with occasional remote working and flexible hours when required
