2nd line Engineer – Permanent
Location: Colchester (4 days onsite - 1 day from home)
Salary: £40,000
We’re looking for an IT Support Engineer to join a fast-paced manufacturing company on the outskirts of Colchester. This is a permanent, full-time role offering the chance to support a wide range of systems and technologies within a well-established business.
You’ll be the first point of contact for IT support queries, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations across both office and manufacturing environments. This is a great opportunity for a junior IT professional building their career or an experienced engineer seeking a new challenge.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1st and 2nd line support across the business
Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues
Support Microsoft 365 and critical business applications
Assist with ERP systems – Dynamics AX experience is a plus
Contribute to IT projects and improvements
Maintain accurate IT documentation
What We’re Looking For:
Experience in a 1st/2nd Line Support role
Strong Microsoft 365 and general IT skills
Exposure to ERP systems, ideally Dynamics AX
Manufacturing environment experience is an advantage
Good communication and problem-solving skills
