I had the pleasure of working with Mel Blythe on the interior design for my sitting and dining rooms. The transformation she achieved was truly remarkable, capturing the exact aesthetic I had in mind. Having recently moved house, we found the 2 rooms to be in a tired state with dated decor. We set Mel the difficult task of working with what already installed in the rooms (built-in shelves, carpets and other aspects we didn’t want to change) as well as incorporating some of our existing furniture from our old house (sofas, dining table etc) to still deliver an updated, modern and completely refreshed look. Her ability to seamlessly blend chic modern elements with a touch of traditional style, all while exuding a sense of understated luxury, is truly impressive. The investment in the process and Mel’s services was undoubtedly worth it, as she possesses a discerning eye for design and a knack for understanding her clients' visions. Her guidance throughout the process was invaluable, providing me with insightful recommendations and helping me make decisions that perfectly aligned with the overall look and feel I desired. She also took delivery of all items and installed and staged them in our house which was very welcome. When we did run in to issues, such as a rug that didn’t work on the surface of our dining room, she resolved this instantly, ensuring that the process was completely stress free for us and very enjoyable. In sum, my experience with Mel was nothing short of exceptional. If you're seeking a professional who can skilfully work with both modern and traditional styles creating a luxurious and tasteful ambiance, she is undoubtedly the designer to consider.

Mel was phenomenal. She helped me completely redesign my bedroom and the end product was perfect. She is a really hard worker, and completely committed to her business. She listened carefully to what I was trying to achieve, but had the vision to see where it needed those all-important touches. She struck the perfect balance between bringing her own ideas and judgment to the room, whilst not losing sight of what the client wanted. There was quite a lot of trade finding and co-ordination to be done, and she handled that really well, going out of her way to be on site when I was not available. Her pricing was extremely competitive, under cutting alternative options significantly, but absolutely without cutting any corners, so much so that I voluntarily paid over the contract price on account of the sheer amount of work she did. Other rooms at the same property will require redesigning in due course, and I will absolutely use her again – she is brilliant!
