Description
I’m looking for a reliable, experienced self-employed housekeeper/home organiser to support my household in Purley for one day per week (~8 hours to start).
This is my first time hiring this kind of help. I’m keen to find someone proactive and organised who can take initiative around the home rather than needing a fixed task list each visit.
About us:
We are a family with two young children and we do have pets
We are in a hilly area and have many stairs/steps
We are close to a train station & bus stop so no requirement for a driving licence if you are happy to commute on public transport
Initial responsibilities will include:
General cleaning (bathroom, kitchen, floors, surfaces)
Tidying and resetting rooms
Organising cupboards, storage and household spaces
Occasional deeper or ad-hoc jobs (e.g. oven, fridge, inside cupboards)
Over time, the scope may evolve depending on what works well. This could include additional organising tasks and other forms of household support if mutually agreed.
What I’m looking for:
You are self-employed and comfortable invoicing for your time
You bring your own initiative and can see what needs doing
You are trustworthy, thorough and take pride in your work
References from other local households preferred
Hours & flexibility:
1 day per week to start (up to 8 hours)
Day of week can be agreed
If preferred happy to split this across multiple days
Responsibilities and hours could adjust over time if suits
Location: Purley
Rate: Competitive hourly rate depending on experience
If this sounds like the sort of household you enjoy working with, please send a short message about your experience and the other homes you have worked in or currently work in.
