We employed St Mary's Home Care Limited when my elderly father and mother needed some support, and are so glad we did. The company's service, its ease of use, cost-effectiveness and the helpfulness of the staff were all very much appreciated. Mum was struggling with reduced mobility and the carers helped with her medication and general medical needs (changing dressings, etc) along with anything else required. They frequently helped with day-to-day tasks such as filling and running the washing machine, washing and tidying pots and things in the kitchen, and other simple tasks, all of which were a great help. We were told they would do anything asked of them such as running errands, shopping, etc, if required; they were always willing to go the extra mile Dad had undergone a major operation and was largely bedbound; the carers ensured he ate regularly, took his medication, toileted, showered and had all his care needs met. Later on he struggled with continence and the carers changed his pads /nappies, helped him avoid bed sores, and generally ensured his needs were met to a very high standard with dignity and respect . We are extremely grateful for the support received during these challenging times; staff members were all kind and supportive, supplying outstanding care and kindness with dedication, professionalism and compassion in a friendly and approachable manner. Communication was excellent and we were always kept informed of any progress or problems. All the staff we met, from the owners to the people who came every day were kind and helpful; nothing was too much trouble. Our parents were so grateful for their help and the carers cheered them up when they were feeling down In summary, this is an extremely reliable service which is delivered in a kind and caring way, with very professional staff who are well trained in lifting and moving patients to attend to personal hygiene needs. Sadly mum and dad have now both passed away. Thank you so much to all the wonderful team at St Mary’s Home Care. We really appreciate everything you did for them, the care and compassion will never be forgotten.
