⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We will always be grateful for the care they gave my wife Finding the right care for someone you love is not easy. When it is your wife, it is even harder because you worry about whether the people coming into her home will really understand her, treat her with respect and care for her in the way you would want. Our experience with Saen El-Tara Care was, thankfully, very positive. It started with the manager coming to our home to talk through my wife's needs and what kind of support would be appropriate. I remember appreciating that it did not feel rushed. We were able to explain what mattered to us, ask questions and discuss what we expected from the care package. The terms were clearly agreed, and the team then took the time to find a support worker suitable for my wife. That made a real difference. The support worker was not only there to complete a list of duties. She was patient and respectful, and she took the time to understand my wife's routines and preferences. There is a big difference between someone simply "doing a job" and someone who genuinely takes an interest in the person they are supporting. We felt that difference. The staff were generally punctual and courteous, and we could rely on them to turn up and provide the agreed support. They also paid attention to the little things that mattered to my wife and to us as a family. One area that gave us particular reassurance was medication. We knew that medication support had to be handled carefully, and the staff treated it with the seriousness it deserved. They were attentive and followed the arrangements properly rather than treating it as something to rush through. There were, of course, difficult days. Caring for someone whose needs are changing is never straightforward, and no care service can eliminate that difficulty entirely. What mattered to us was knowing that we were not dealing with everything alone. We could speak to the team, raise concerns and know that we would be listened to. Eventually, my wife's needs increased to the point where moving her into a care home became the right decision. That was a very difficult time for our family. But when we look back at the period when she was receiving care at home, we are genuinely thankful that Saen El-Tara was part of it. They helped us give my wife more time at home, surrounded by the people and things she knew, while making sure she received the support she needed. For me, that is what good care is really about. It is not just about turning up on time or completing tasks. It is about treating someone's wife, mother, grandmother or loved one with dignity when they are at their most vulnerable. Saen El-Tara did that for my wife, and our family will always appreciate it. Thank you to the team for the kindness, patience and care you showed her. We would happily recommend Saen El-Tara Care to other families who need support for someone they love. - F Desmond
