Description
Vintage 19th Century gaudy 'Oyster' style Welsh dinner service from Allertons. Highly collectable apparently but I can't get rid. Dropped in price from £100+ to just £50. No offers.
After a number of breakages whilst preparing for these photographs, I'm down to the following::
11 Tea Cups (there were 12!)
11 Matching Saucers (there were 12 - 1 cracked)
11 Side Plates (there were 12!)
1 Large(r) Plate
1 Large(r) Saucer
1 Bowl
1 Cream/Milk Jug
Embossed with the mark of Allertons, this vintage collection of 19th/20th century Gaudy Welsh wares are simple and naive due to them being hand decorated so no two pieces are identical.
Beautiful and highly collectable.
