Role Overview

We are looking for a reliable and hands-on Maintenance & Housekeeping Person to support the day-to-day upkeep of the hotel. This role is key to ensuring that both the interior and exterior of the property are maintained to a high standard, creating a safe, welcoming, and well-presented environment for our guests.

General Maintenance

Carry out routine maintenance and minor repairs across guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house Respond promptly to maintenance requests from the team Identify and report any major repairs or safety concerns Ensure all equipment and systems are functioning correctly

Painting & Upkeep

Perform regular painting, touch-ups, and refurbishment work Maintain a high standard of presentation across all areas of the hotel Assist with small improvement projects

Grounds & Gardening

Maintain gardens, outdoor spaces, and pathways Lawn mowing, hedge trimming, weeding, and seasonal planting Keep outdoor areas clean, safe, and visually appealing

General Upkeep

Ensure cleanliness and organisation of maintenance areas and storage Assist with waste management and recycling processes Support the team during busy periods with general duties

Health & Safety

Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations Conduct basic safety checks (lighting, fire exits, walkways, etc.) Report hazards and take appropriate action where necessary

Skills & Experience

Previous experience in maintenance, handyman work, or similar role Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and general repairs Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Practical, proactive, and solution-focused approach Good attention to detail Physically fit and comfortable working both indoors and outdoors
