School Cook - To cover both Whitehaven & Workington

Locations: Whitehaven & Workington

Pay Rate: 13.90 per hour

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 2:00pm

Contract: 2nd November - 18th December

Requirement: Enhanced DBS Check Required

We're looking for an experienced and reliable Cook to join a busy school catering team, covering sites in both Whitehaven and Workington.

Duties Include:

Preparing sandwiches and packed lunch items for students attending residential tripsCooking approximately 30-40 meals per dayProducing a variety of hot meals such as sausage & mash and other daily specialsPreparing sandwiches, jacket potatoes and alternative lunch optionsMaintaining high standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanlinessFollowing food safety regulations at all timesThe Ideal Candidate:

Previous cooking or catering experienceComfortable working in a school environmentAble to work independently across two sitesHolds a valid DBS certificate or is happy to undergo a DBS checkReliable, organised and passionate about providing quality mealsThis is a fantastic temporary opportunity with family-friendly daytime hours and no weekend work!
