The Role

Are you someone who enjoys working behind the scenes to make everything run like clockwork — all while delivering warm and welcoming customer service? If so, you might be the perfect fit for our Day Porter role at Moor Hall Hotel & Spa, a charming, family-run hotel in the heart of Sutton Coldfield. As a Day Porter, you’ll play a vital part in ensuring our day-to-day operations and guest experiences run smoothly. This is a varied and active role that requires someone reliable, hands-on, and with a positive, can-do attitude.

The role requires flexibility to work 30 hours per week over 4 days on a rota basis which can include evenings and weekends.

Key Responsibilities

· Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and carrying, walking, and standing for extended periods.

· Good communication and customer service skills.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Respond promptly to guest enquiries and ensure their needs are met with a friendly and professional attitude.

· Provide support to other departments to ensure smooth daily operations.

· Assist with setting up tables, chairs, and equipment for hotel events, conferences, or meetings.

· Be on hand to provide support to the events team, ensuring guests have everything they need during functions. xjnqpsq
